From September 23th al October 1, 2025 will take place on theVulcano island, the southernmost of the Aeolian archipelago, the tenth edition of the "Convective and Volcanic Clouds (CVC) detecting, monitoring and modeling School", the Training School on detection, monitoring and modelling of convective and volcanic clouds.
L'National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), through the PNRR project MEET (Monitoring Earth's Evolution and Tectonics), finances and supports the School together with European Geosciences Union (EGU), International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG) e International Association of Volcanology and Chemistry of the Earth's Interior (IAVCEI). L'Association Prof. Frank Silvio Marzano – “Through Aspera Ad Astra” It also makes available two scholarships.
The School is open to all, with priority given to master's degree students, PhD students and researchers at the beginning of their career. places are limited and the selection will be based on motivation, research topic and the order in which the application is sent.
Students will have the opportunity to present their research to other participants and teachers, participate in laboratories using professional software applied to real data and will receive a final certificate that will allow them to obtain up to 6 ECTS credits.
The deadline for submitting applications and requesting scholarships is set for next 30st May.
