The International School “Cross-scale coupling of Heliophysics Systems” organized by the Consortium Area di Ricerca in Astrogeofisica, the University of L’Aquila, the National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF) and the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) starts today at the “Luigi Zordan” Congress Center in L’Aquila.

The course, scheduled until Friday 16 May, will be dedicated to the discussion of topics of great current interest and scientific interest: solar activity, coronal explosions with the related propagation of coronal structures in interplanetary space, interaction between the Earth's magnetosphere and ionosphere, geomagnetic storms and Space Weather.

The School, sponsored among others by the European Space Agency (ESA), involves 50 young researchers from institutions and universities around the world who will be guided in their activities by some of the most authoritative scientists in the sector.
