Today 26 November at 14.30 pm, at the Stampa Romana headquarters in Piazza della Torretta 36 (Rome), the President of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) Carlo Doglioni will participate in the press conference to present the Lazio Regional Law on the prevention of seismic risk.
The purpose of the newly approved law is the safety of people and property through the implementation of measures to prevent and reduce the risk factors associated with seismic events in the regional territory. The LR provides, in particular, for the collaboration of research institutions for the promotion, study and analysis of the risk factors of the territory, as well as the monitoring of the seismic vulnerability of the regional territory and the establishment, for 13 January of each year, of the "Regional seismic literacy day" in which, with the collaboration of INGV, the Lazio Region promotes information and awareness on seismic danger and risk and on prevention activities.
