The project was presented at the University of Turin CON.I.RI. – Living with Natural Risks, during an invited talk held by Giovanna Lucia Piangiamore (National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology – INGV), coordinator of CON.I.RI.
The intervention, entitled "CON.I.RI. (Living with Natural Risks) – Educational Programs for the Prevention and Mitigation of Seismic and Hydrogeological Risks - A 'Nudge' to Influence Behaviors to Reduce Natural Disasters in Schools", was included in the “Showcase of Government Excellence” of the AIF Filippo Basile National Award 2025 Edition.
The project CON.I.RI., fruit of the collaboration between INGV e AssoCEA Messina APS was sent to the evaluators by Metropolitan City of Messina as an example of education in good practices through the "nudge", a gentle push according to the theory of behavioral economics, obtaining in 2025 the Second prize , special mention from the Scientific Committee for the theme "Sustainability" at the XXIII edition of the “Filippo Basile” Award, with the award ceremony held at theUniversity of Cagliari in May.
The recognition and subsequent presentation in Turin confirm the innovative value of the project, which aims to promote experiential educational paths for prevention and mitigation of seismic and hydrogeological risks, with a process-oriented approach sustainability and change in individual and collective behaviors.
