Genoa Science Festival 2013

The wonders of the interior of the Earth on display at the Science Festival in Genoa from 23 October to 3 November.
INGV participates with the exhibition Exploring the Earth: a journey from the core to the surface at the Science Festival in Genoa.
Many of the extraordinary forces that contribute to making our planet unique, alive and vital originate within the Earth. The exhibition reveals the secrets hidden in the heart of the planet, reconstructed through deductive processes and indirect study methodologies, also using spectacular reconstructions and 3D images of the interior of the Earth and of the complex processes that begin inside it: plate tectonics, mechanisms that are its origin and the main phenomena that derive from it, and geomagnetism, to understand the delicate balance at the basis of life on our planet.
