The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) yesterday hosted, in the Conference Room of the Rome office, a representation of the PSIDS Countries, a group of Small Pacific Island Developing States, guest of the National Civil Protection Service for a week of advanced training, exchange of experiences and good practices related to the management of natural risks.
The day, introduced by the greeting of the Director of the Earthquake Department of INGV, Rita Di Giovambattista, continued with seminars organized by the Institute's researchers and with a visit to the Seismic Monitoring Room.
The aim of the week, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, is to share experiences and technologies to strengthen collaboration between Italy and PSIDS countries for risk reduction from natural disasters.
