After the extraordinary openings of the month of August, the Geophysical Museum of Duronia (MUGED) of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) returns to open its doors to the public on the occasion of the European Heritage Days 2019 (GEP).
The initiative, promoted by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities (MiBAC), will take place in museums and cultural venues throughout Italy on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September.
As part of the event, whose theme for this year will be “One two three…Art! – Culture and entertainment”, the MUGED, at the invitation of the Polo Museale del Molise, will organize an event entitled “Something up there protects us”.
The aim of the event is to make the public aware of the generation and functioning mechanisms of the earth's magnetosphere, the "invisible shield" that arises right under our feet, in the depths of our planet, without which there would be no life on Earth.
