The fourth edition of the Science Communication School will take place in Trieste from 16 to 21 September, a project carried out by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) in collaboration with the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), the University of Studies of Padua and the Department of Communication of the University of Copenhagen.

The aim of the school is to tackle the last phase of a young researcher's training path, i.e. the sharing of "one's" science with the public inside and outside the Academy.

The week will be centered on experimentation and the active role of students, and will allow students to address topics such as the creation of a scientific article, a poster, a presentation at a conference and a project proposal, also focusing on the importance of language and on the critical issues of scientific journalism, on risk communication and on that aimed at schools.

Finally, with the "Pick the victim" laboratory, students will be able to tell their research activities to an audience of non-experts, to underline the importance of the role of "experts" in bringing citizens closer to science.
