The week of events dedicated to the celebrations for World Earth Day is underway: workshops, exhibitions, experiments and games to raise awareness among the general public about the protection of our planet
From the 10 16 2025 April, Galloppatoio of Villa Borghese and the Pincio Terrace in Rome, come back the Village for the Earth, the great celebration that every year brings together thousands of people to celebrate the Earth Day of April 22th.
Also this year theNational Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) is a scientific partner of the initiative and is preparing to welcome the curious and enthusiasts from Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th April.
With interactive labs, scientific experiments, games e live demonstrations, visitors to the INGV stand will be able to explore some of the natural phenomena that shape our planet every day: earthquakes, volcanic eruptions e tsunami.
The Institute's experts will be available to the general public to answer their questions and guide them in the discovery of Geosciences with activities suitable for all ages.
The rich calendar of initiatives of the Village for the Earth, now in its tenth edition, offers over 600 events of sport, art, science and culture dedicated to the protection of our planet created by more than 250 institutions and organizations, with a special focus on 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, each of which is dedicated a multimedia square in the suggestive setting of Villa Borghese with meetings, workshops, exhibitions and events.
