In a book and an exhibition, the students of the Liceo Artistico Caravillani in Rome and the researchers of INGV together to defend the planet
The presentation of the volume edited by scientists Daniele Melini and Spina Cianetti for Pacini Editore and INGV Editore will be held on Saturday 27 November, starting at 11:00, in the outdoor spaces of the Library of Villino Corsini - Villa Pamphilj.
The climate emergency told to the young generations by 25 students of an art school in Rome, accompanied by two INGV scientists: here is "ClimArt - images of change", the project created by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) and by the "Alessandro Caravillani" Artistic High School in the Monteverde district of Rome to transmit and communicate, through the universal language of art, scientific evidence on the state of health of our planet and to awaken in consciences the awareness that it is no longer possible to postpone common actions to protect the environment.
It is a cry of alarm and anguish, but also a message of hope for the future.
The “ClimArt” project is now a book and will soon become an exhibition as well.
At the presentation, which will be opened by the President of INGV prof. Carlo Doglioni, will be present together with the protagonists prof. Carlo Eufemi, Headmaster of the Caravillani High School, Dr. Leonardo Sagnotti, Director of the INGV Environment Department and expert on climate change, and Prof. Manuela Policicchio, representing the team of teachers who followed the project.
The event will take place outdoors in the space in front of the library.
In case of bad weather, it will be postponed to a later date.
