The epicenter was located between the provinces of Ragusa and Caltanissetta, off the coast of Ragusa 15 km from Vittoria (RG), 16 km from Acate, 17 km from Santa Croce Camerina (RG), 19 km from Gela (CL) and hypocenter at a depth of about 30 km.
