Saturday 15 June, from 9.00 to 18.00, in the Rectorate Hall of the Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI) in L'Aquila, the conference "Abruzzo 10 years after the earthquake: growth of the prevention system" will be held, organized by the Institute Geophysics and Volcanology National Team (INGV) in collaboration with the Civil Protection Risk Prevention Service of the Abruzzo Region.
The event is open to the public and will be an opportunity for scientific dissemination where experts will present the framework of scientific and regulatory knowledge before and after the 2009 seismic event and, in particular, will address the issues of Apennine seismicity, prevention, of anti-seismic legislation and reconstruction.
With greetings from the President of INGV Carlo Doglioni and Dr. Maria Basi of the Seismic Prevention Office of the Civil Protection Risk Prevention Service of the Abruzzo Region, the conference will also see the collaboration of numerous professional associations in the area.
