On Monday 3 September, at the Mostra d'Oltremare (Sala Capri) in Naples, Viale JF Kennedy 54, at 10.30 the program of the tenth Cities on Volcanoes Congress (COV 10) will be presented, which will be held in the Campania capital until 7 September 2018 .
After 20 years from the first edition, volcanologists from all over the world return to Naples to promote and strengthen the connection between the volcanological scientific community and those involved in territorial planning and emergency management, in order to build a place for comparison and integration of experiences among the "cities on volcanoes".
At the opening of the congress, among others, the President of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) Carlo Doglioni, the Mayor of Naples Luigi De Magistris, the Mayor of Pozzuoli Vincenzo Figliolia, the Mayor of Ercolano Ciro Buonajuto, the President of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca and the Head of the Civil Protection Department Angelo Borrelli.
