Applications are now open for the Vincenzo Ferraro Prize 2025, the recognition for young students promoted by theAssociation “Vincenzo Ferraro” and sponsored, among others, byNational Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV).
The award is intended for and students of Italian or foreign universities that have obtained, after 1 September 2020, a PhD in Physics or an equivalent qualification, with a thesis on topics relevant to the study of space plasmas.
The international recognition, which includes the payment of a sum of money, will be awarded following evaluation by a scientific committee.
With initiatives like this, the Association pays homage to the Prof. Vincenzo C. A. Ferraro, Italian astrophysicist pioneer in the study of plasma physics, with the purpose of stimulate the interest of young scientists in the field of space plasmas.
