On the occasion of the celebrations for the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Institute, the scientific journal published by INGV has published a special issue in digital edition to tell, with prestigious contributions, a quarter of a century of Geosciences
A digital edition has just been published special volume of 'Annals of Geophysics', the scientific journal published since 1948 byNational Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV).
The work, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the institution of the Institution, is titled "Embracing the past, Empowering the present, and Envisioning the future” and was edited by the magazine's Editor in Chief, Paola Montone, in collaboration with the other Associate Editors.
The special volume, divided into three sections dedicated to seismology, volcanology and environmental issues, collects contributions from internationally renowned scientists who, over the years, have collaborated with INGV research staff to offer the reader a unique journey into the Earth sciences.
“The 18 articles we have selected”, explains Paula Montone, “they present in depth the results achieved in years of research and offer, at the same time, new perspectives for the future on the main disciplines of interest to the Institute”.
The special issue of 'Annals' includes review articles, problem-specific studies, tsunami contributions, multi-hazard analyses, history of global research infrastructures, and major seismic models.
