From prof. Carlo Doglioni, President of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, on the seventh anniversary of the earthquake that deeply struck Central Italy.

“Il August 24th, 2016 the tragedy began seismic sequence of Amatrice-Visso-Norcia: a wound that has yet to heal, which has taught us a lot and which stimulates INGV every day to implement seismic monitoring and surveillance networks throughout Italy.

The earthquakes will come back, there is no way to stop them, but we must know them meglio to be able to defend ourselves through adequate prevention that will allow us one day to be able to live with it without fearing loss of life and property.

OKAY worth investing in understanding earthquakes to defend the Vita, ours Abitations, the Lfreedom of not being displaced for many years and losing one's cultural roots and dispersing the fabric Eeconomic.

Studying the Earth is an investment for the future, to defend ourselves from natural hazards and use the planet's resources with respect for the environment”.
