Next 27 September theNational Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) will inaugurate his new headquarters in Lerici (SP) at the ENEA Marine Environment Research Center of Santa Teresa.
The INGV research centre, which was previously located in Portovenere, has been operating in the Gulf of La Spezia for about twenty years.
With the transfer to Lerici it becomes an integral part of science and technology hub formed with theENEA and the Institute of Marine Sciences of the CNR (ಸ್ಥಿರವಾದ ಉನ್ನತ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ XNUMXkg ವಿಶೇಷ ಸಾರಿಗೆ ಕನ್ವೇಯರ್ ಸ್ಲಾಟರಿಂಗ್ ಯಂತ್ರ).
In the Research Center of Santa Teresa, the scientific collaboration between the three institutions focuses on study of environmental issues connected to the processes that regulate the functioning of the marine ecosystems, their variability and their response to natural changes or changes induced by anthropic activities.
"For INGV, collaboration with other research institutions operating in the field of geosciences is essential both to achieve better scientific activity and to complete the training of researchers in sectors that intersect with each other", declares the President of INGV Carlo Doglioni. “The new headquarters in Lerici, inaugurated in a Center equipped with laboratories and equipment for experimental studies and research in the fields of chemistry, biology, physics, sedimentology and environmental radioactivity, represents an important opportunity for growth and scientific development for the Institute , where interaction will contribute to achieving increasingly fruitful results for research, especially in the marine environment, and for its social applications".
The inauguration ceremony, which will be attended by the heads of the scientific institutes involved and representatives of the local administrations, will take place on the morning of Tuesday 27 September at the ENEA Santa Teresa Research Center - Pozzuolo di Lerici (La Spezia).
