Reports, bulletins, story maps, data on the real-time evolution of volcanic seismic phenomena: this and much more on the new websites of the Etna Observatory and the INGV National Earthquake Observatory. From today, it is even easier to immediately consult the information on seismic and volcanic surveillance activities of the national territory

I'm online i new websites of the National Earthquake Observatory and the Etna Observatory, Monitoring Sections of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV).

For the National Earthquake Observatory (ONT-INGV) the website is an important novelty. Until now, the ONT was present on the web only with the "Earthquake List" which has for some time been a constant "window" into real-time of the surveys of the Earthquake Department.

The new site, on the other hand, makes information available regarding the seismic research, monitoring and surveillance infrastructures managed by the National Earthquake Observatory: from the National Seismic Network to the Seismic Monitoring and Tsunami Warning Room in Rome. The homepage also always contains real-time data on seismicity and all the information from the web and social channels of the "INGVterremoti" platform. Furthermore, some of the monitoring products will also be available, such as maps, reports, reports, bulletins and "story maps" (interactive maps) on the seismicity of the national territory.

For the portal of the Etna Observatory (OE-INGV), however, it is a complete makeover with which we wanted to focus on the real-time evolution of the seismic-volcanic phenomena of Etna and the Aeolian Islands. In fact, all the information produced by the 24-hour Operations Room will be published, as communicated, Volcano Observatory Notices for Aviation (VONA) and bulletins. It will also be possible to access a selection of data updated in real time such as seismic signals, volcanic tremor, volcanic video surveillance and the list of recent earthquake locations.

The graphic layout of the two portals is aligned with that of the national INGV portal, developed with a “responsive design” in order to ensure the widest and most diversified accessibility with any fixed and mobile device and with any resolution. The contents are organized according to the Institute's own mission divided into three main categories: scientific and technological research activities in the field of geosciences; institutional research and service activities for society, public administrations and industry; communication and dissemination activities.
