From the 29 June to the 4 July, at the Uni Mail of theUniversity of Geneva, in Switzerland, will be held IAVCEI25, il International Congress of IAVCEI (International Association of Volcanology and Chemistry of the Earth's Interior), one of the most prestigious events of the year on volcanological sciences.
THENational Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), as a member of the Italian Organizing Committee, will be present at this year's edition, entitled “The energies of magma: From volcanic eruptions and mineral resources to geothermal production and sustainability”, with a stand and numerous talks and posters.
In the last Newsletter published by IAVCEI was dedicated ample space for the INGV, with an article on the initiatives organized on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the foundation of the Institute. The article was written by Paula Montone, Research Director of INGV and Editor-in-Chief of the journal “Annals of Geophysics”, published by the same Institute. Among the initiatives, particular interest has been aroused by the series of scientific seminars collected in the volume published by the Editorial Board of “Annals of Geophysics”, entitled “Embracing the Past, Empowering the Present and Envisioning the Future”.
The long collaboration between INGV and IAVCEI underlines theimportance of international cooperation in promoting scientific knowledge with the Institute which, thanks to its constant commitment to research, innovation and activities of service to society, continues to be recognized as an excellence in the field of Geosciences.
