Everything is ready for the second edition of the scientific dissemination event ETNA VOLCANO FESTIVAL - Lands in motion, organized by the Trecastagni Patrimonio dell'Etna Foundation!
From the 21 to the 23 June, In the municipality of Trecastagni (CT), numerous activities dedicated to the great theme of volcanoes.
For the occasion, theEtna Observatory of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV - OE) will organize a series of evening seminars which will present the observatory's surveillance, monitoring and research activities, also offering an overview of the recent activities of Sicilian volcanoes.
One will also be set up exhibition space where visitors they will be able to observe closely some of the instruments used for seismic and volcanic surveillance and monitoring activities. This space will allow the public to better understand the technologies and methodologies used by INGV experts.
There will be activities for the little ones: since Paper volcanoes laboratory children will be able to approach the world of volcanoes through educational and creative activities.

Partners of the event are: National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, Presidency of the Sicilian Regional Assembly, Sicilian Region Tourism Department, Municipality of Trecastagni, Tenute Nicosia, Federescursionismo Sicilia, Etnaviva Association. Furthermore there will be an oenological twinning between the volcanic lands and the Campi Flegrei.
