As part of the events of “The Museumgrandtour itineraries” dedicated to the knowledge of the cultural landscape of the area that goes from the Castelli Romani and Prenestini to the Alta Valle del Sacco, theNational Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) organizes, at the Museum of Geosciences of Rocca di Papa Institute (MUGEOS), photographic exhibition “Amber Art - A journey between Science and Beauty”.
The exhibition will be presented with a conference Thursday 9 May at 10:00 am at the INGV Headquarters in Rome (Via di Vigna Murata, 605) and inaugurated at MUGEOS Saturday 11 May at 11:00.
This is an exhibition of photographs of insects trapped in amber millions of years ago. The images were obtained thanks to very advanced photographic techniques in terms of magnification, lighting and focusing.
For the occasion, two scientists will be protagonists: Enrico Bonino, geologist with specialization in stratigraphy and paleontology, e Davide Badano, entomologist and researcher.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) contextual videos will be shown in loop, visitors will be able to experience sensorial sound experiences with the natural noises of the forests and discover a small exhibition of a private collection of insects in resin kindly made available to the Museum by Lorenzo Lagrasta, a young boy passionate about science.
