The Vesuvian Observatory team runs to support the fight against breast cancer, promote prevention and show solidarity with the Women in Pink. Every step counts in the race to a healthier, happier life.
On 14 and 15 October in Naples, the seventh edition of the "Race for the Cure," the symbolic event of Komen Italy , largest event in Italy and in the world dedicated to the prevention and fight against breast cancer: an extraordinary opportunity to combine sport, health and solidarity in a single race.
The Vesuvian Observatory of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV-OV) joins the "Race for the Cure" with the "INGV-OBSERVATORIO VESUVIANO" team and invites everyone to join the team and participate in the event on October 15th together with family and friends, walking or running for a noble cause.
The "Race for the Cure" is an event open to all, an occasion where the community comes together to celebrate Women in Pink and raise vital funds to fight breast cancer. It will start from Piazza del Plebiscito on 15 October with a symbolic relay that will cross the entire Campania region, offering events dedicated to health, sport and solidarity in all the provinces.
The initiatives will start on October 14th with the "Prevention Caravan", which will operate in the outskirts of Naples for two days, offering medical services for early diagnosis of breast and cervical cancers, in collaboration with ASL Napoli 1.
Sunday 15 October one 5 kilometer run, or a 2 kilometer walki, will cross the streets of the city starting from Piazza del Plebiscito. At the end of the event, a celebration of the Women in Pink will be held, with the award ceremony of the teams participating in the race and the presentation of the Literary Prize "With all the love I can" organized by Komen Campania.
