The next 3 and 4 June in Equi Terme in Fivizzano (MS) the 2nd will be held Geology Festival: two days in which the Tuscan town becomes the village of geology for everyone, in a full immersion of excursions, workshops, demonstrations, seminars, entertainment for children and adventure.

Here are the appointments with INGV researchers to inform about scientific aspects of the Earth Sciences but also to educate about natural risks.

Sunday June 4, 2023 | 16:00 - 17:30 | Circolo La Posta – Dehors

Earthquake? I know them all!

A challenge for the whole family to those who are better at seismology, to test young and old knowledge of earthquakes and how to behave when it happens, a particularly important aspect in an area hit by earthquakes of a certain importance in the past.

Reverse conference: you tell the seismologists about earthquakes. In the end, a prize for everyone and the title of seismologist for the winner!

>with Stefano Solarino, seismologist of the Genoa branch of INGV.

The locality in the municipality of Fivizzano has a particular link with the earth sciences.

Not only is its territory home to caves and spas but it also hosts the Apuan GeoLab, an Earth Science museum-laboratory with interactive "machines" to discover the formation and geology of mountains such as the Apuan Alps, and the Buca della Geologia, a rich display of minerals, rocks and fossils.
