"Le Lune di Giulio Grablovitz", the comic on the life and scientific research of the illustrious Italian geophysicist, has been given to the press.

The work, part of a project to enhance the Geophysical Observatory of Casamicciola (Ischia) in which a joint working group was created between the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) and the Municipality of Casamicciola dell'Isola d'Ischia, traces the work and life of the seismologist of Trieste origins who from 1884, following the terrible earthquake that occurred on 28 July 1883, designed and directed the two geodynamic observatories of the island: that of the Great Sentinel of Casamicciola Terme and that of Porto d'Ischia.

The work intends to give back to science and to the communities of the Neapolitan island the right value of the scientist, of the places and of the results of his activity.

Giulio Grablovitz was one of the leading Italian geophysicists between the 800s and 900s and his work included numerous fields of science and the earth of which he left traces in his very rich manuscript documentation.

The seismologist Graziano Ferrari, a profound connoisseur of Giulio Grablovitz and former INGV researcher, Giuseppe Palumbo, one of the leading Italian cartoonists among the authors of the Diabolik drawings, and his historic collaborator Gianfranco Giardina worked on its creation.
