The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) was the winner of the 2020 tender with the GAIN Project (INTelligent Aerial Gravimeter), aimed at developing, in synergy with the National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF) and with small and medium-sized enterprises in the field of geophysical and aerospace sensors, an innovative gravimeter to be used for geological mapping, exploration of natural resources, tectonics, volcanology, geothermal energy and archeology.
The method proposed with the GAIN Project will be presented during today's appointment by the scientific coordinator for INGV, Massimo Chiappini. The event will take place in the presence of the President of the Lazio Region Nicola Zingaretti.
