Sunday 11 October appointment with the tenth edition of "Io Non Rischio", the campaign promoted by the Department of Civil Protection, the National Association of Public Assistance - Anpas, the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology - INGV, the Cima Foundation and the Network of the University Laboratories of Earthquake Engineering - ReLuis, to promote citizens' awareness of the risks present in the area and make them aware and active in their reduction.
The Civil Protection volunteering, the Institutions and the world of scientific research will once again be together to spread the culture of prevention with a new method, the telematic one, made necessary by the current health emergency.
To minimize the possibility of gatherings and to respect physical and health distancing without renouncing social closeness, the 2020 edition of "Io Non Rischio" is a digital edition. The usual meeting and sharing places – the squares – will continue to exist but will come to life in a different space. In fact, the voluntary associations that adhere to INR will organize online meeting points, on Facebook, integrating social media with remote meeting platforms. Facebook pages and events will therefore be digital aggregation points, open to the participation of all citizens who want to get information and share their experiences on the risks that persist in our territories.
There are some traditional squares in the area, with a symbolic meaning, alongside the hundreds of digital squares where volunteers will continue to spread, in renewed ways, the culture of prevention and raise citizens' awareness of natural risks, creatively integrating social media, remote meeting platforms and live interventions of both a local and national nature.
Also for this digital edition, INGV took care of updating the volunteer trainers, supported the training courses for the volunteer communicators of the voluntary organizations participating in the campaign at a regional level, made digital materials available, supporting the associations along the way preparation of digital squares.
