The visit of the Chinese delegation made up of Prof. Xiaodong Zhang, deputy director of the Institute of Earthquake Forecasting (IEF) of the China Earthquake Administration (CEA), was held at the Rome headquarters of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), accompanied by Prof. Guangyu Fu and Prof. Weijun Wang. The meeting was organized to discuss the activities that the two Institutes develop in the earthquake and volcano sectors, in order to bring out points of contact and possible development in synergy on the basis of new collaborations and joint projects. During the meeting, the guests of the IEF visited the seismic hall and the Tsunami warning centre.
In the coming days, a collaboration agreement will be signed between INGV and IEF, which has as its main theme the geochemistry of fluids in the study of natural processes and monitoring in seismogenic areas.
