The appointment with the Mariperman Trophy returns from 27 to 29 September in the Gulf of La Spezia, the event that combines the solidarity spirit of the world of sailing and sport with the scientific dimension of educational workshops and exhibitions dedicated to the public of visitors.
The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) will participate in the 32nd edition of the Trophy with an exhibition on Innovation and Technology and three play-educational workshops aimed at children and teenagers.
The Octopus Game, dedicated to elementary school children, will be a scientific game of the goose which, through a path made up of colored boxes, will allow young players to question themselves and discover more about our sea. Middle school students, on the other hand, will be involved in Memory: Earthquakes, Volcanoes and the Environment in search of the couples hidden in the 48 cards dedicated to the three departments of the Institute. Finally, with Tidetown, high school students will be able to explore the topics of tides, physics and oceanography.
An exhibition on Scientific and Technological Innovation will then be set up to entertain the older ones: here the INGV researchers will lead visitors to discover the mysteries of submarine volcanoes by illustrating the techniques used to study them and the instruments used in the exploration of the marine abysses.
