The national congress entitled "Natural risks and man: environment and cultural heritage" will be held in Aosta from 5 to 9 September, organized on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the foundation of the National Association of Natural Science Teachers (ANISN). The aim of the initiative was to take stock of the role of the school in risk prevention and in the protection of the Italian natural heritage.
The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) has long been involved in collaborations with Natural Science teachers aimed at bringing the world of school closer to that of research through lessons in schools, open days, exhibitions, conferences and workshops dedicated to students .
The INGV seismologists will participate in the Aosta appointment offering their contribution with conferences and workshops on natural risks and seismic monitoring, without forgetting the importance of awareness and education on the risk induced by earthquakes starting right from the school classrooms .
