From Thursday 25th to Saturday 27th January, prepare yourself for an extraordinary experience with the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV).

Volcanologists, seismologists, environmental experts…. await you at the 5th edition of "Parole per la Terra", the event that takes place throughout Italy, in various locations of the Institute.

A unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the life of Planet Earth, with its breaths, its mumblings, its movements, also discovering how much we can do to prevent seismic and volcanic risk areas and to safeguard our precious planet.

In this 5th edition, researchers will accompany you in engaging initiatives to discover the most innovative and technological scientific activities implemented by INGV.

Discovering the latest scientific discoveries from the voice of the protagonists and together supporting INGV's constant attention towards the territory, the environment and the mitigation of risks will be a unique experience for the whole family.

Words for the Earth is more than an event: it is an exciting journey into the beauty of geophysics and a collective commitment to the protection of our extraordinary planet.

PAPER VOLCANOES LABORATORY JUNIOR EDITION

The Junior edition Paper Volcanoes Laboratory is a theoretical-experiential activity created as part of the INGV Scientific Teaching and Dissemination Laboratory to guide children in the discovery of Italian volcanoes. Guided by INGV researchers, children will discover, through images and sounds, the wonders of Italian volcanoes. The educational play laboratory allows children to acquire simple but rigorous scientific concepts and culminates with the creation of their own paper volcano.

Who is it aimed at?: children aged 6 to 10 years

PAPER VOLCANOES LABORATORY

What is a volcano? Are there volcanoes in Italy?

The volcano laboratory is an experiential activity created within the INGV dissemination group to help nursery school children to familiarize themselves with the concept of natural risk.

Guided by INGV researchers, children will acquire awareness of Italian volcanoes and will use paper and markers to create their own volcano.

Who is it aimed at?: children from 3 to 5 years
