PAPER VOLCANOES LABORATORY JUNIOR EDITION
The Junior edition Paper Volcanoes Laboratory is a theoretical-experiential activity created as part of the INGV Scientific Teaching and Dissemination Laboratory to guide children in the discovery of Italian volcanoes. Guided by INGV researchers, children will discover, through images and sounds, the wonders of Italian volcanoes. The educational play laboratory allows children to acquire simple but rigorous scientific concepts and culminates with the creation of their own paper volcano.

The volcano laboratory is an experiential activity created within the INGV dissemination group to help nursery school children to familiarize themselves with the concept of natural risk.

THE PHLEGREAN FIELDS: HISTORICAL VOLCANISM AND RECENT UNREST
In this meeting, the volcanism of the Campi Flegrei over the last millennia will be illustrated by examining the bradyseismic phenomena that have characterized the last decades of activity in the central-western sector of the CF caldera (Pozzuoli, Rione Terra).
It will be an opportunity to answer all the students' questions on the most recent bradyseism, which began at the end of 2005 - the climax of which seems to have occurred in 2023 - and on the volcanic risk at the Campi Flegrei.

ESCAPE VOLCANO – AlfaBeQuiz
Escape volcano: the team board game, based on knowledge of volcanoes that offers ideas for reducing the risks associated with them and protecting the environment.
During the game, participants will have to demonstrate all their creativity through engaging dynamic activities to avoid the volcano eruption. To reach the crater before the eruption, you must pass all the tests that arise: drawing, taboo, multiple choice or miming. However, be careful: if you fail the tests, you risk returning to the magma chamber! The game is played with the participation of INGV researchers.

SCIENCE JOURNALIST FOR A DAY
A volcanic eruption and a strong earthquake have recently affected an area of our peninsula. The public wonders about what happened and how the situation will evolve. But it is not easy to talk about science objectively, selecting relevant information and being careful not to fall into sensationalism or incorrect explanations.
It is up to our young journalists to have the arduous task of reporting what happened in a laboratory game in which the team that describes what happened most accurately in a scientific article wins. The screening of a video and commentary from the researchers will help reconstruct the events.
Be careful, though! The experts' story is deliberately enriched with incorrect or clearly false information. Our journalists will have to select only what is correct and based on scientific evidence: it will be essential to select which concepts are important in describing the event, recognize errors and keep hoaxes away.
At the end of the available time the article will be evaluated by the researchers and the winning team will be declared.

MEMORY: Earthquakes, Volcanoes and the Environment
The game develops the main themes covered by INGV with particular attention to Natural Hazards: Earthquakes, Volcanoes and Environment.
The game consists of 48 cards with icons depicting the topics covered. In the game, the cards are initially shuffled and placed face down on the floor. The players divide into two groups and take turns revealing two cards. If these form a "pair", the researcher asks a question on the topic depicted on the card. If the team's answer is correct, the cards are collected by the player whose turn it is, who can reveal two more; otherwise, they are covered again and returned to their original position on the table, and the next player's turn passes. The player who manages to discover the most pairs wins.

LET'S LEARN TO ASSESS THE VOLCANIC RISK
The activity is focused on risk assessment, particularly volcanic; the study area in this case is the Rejkyanes peninsula.
After a brief introduction by the volcanic risk manager of the Icelandic Meteorological Office, we will discuss with the students the probability of occurrence of rare events and uncertainty, we will show how models of volcanic phenomena are used to improve the probability estimates, and finally we will propose to the students an elicitation exercise on the evolution of the unrest in Rejkyanes.
