If this representation were a photograph, it would show Sigmund Freud with Galileo who, surrounded by seismologists Gutenberg, Richter and Omori, are outdoors, next to a large Totem representing the Earth. In the background peeps out a friar wearing an old habit and holding his inseparable shears. Zac! And the picture seems to come alive with a positive current of longing. Like a strong wind, which carries away the anxieties of science, the fears of utopian aspirations and makes the taboos associated with predicting earthquakes vanish. Now, taking a closer look at the photo, try to see what the wishes of a scientist, a seismologist, a psychoanalyst and a friar are. And if that's not too much to ask... try to imagine what your wishes would be if you attend this show. Ours is to create a bridge, a link between seismology and psychoanalysis, between science and whoever wants to listen. To understand and together, where possible, simplify.
