The story of research returns to INGVNewsletter

After a break of a few months, the INGV Newsletter is back, with a new look and new content. The new INGVNewsletter will not only deal with research but will tell you about the life of the Institute. It will take you on a journey to discover the "behind the scenes" of research, also through the various channels that make up the INGV information and which are our constant "link" with the public.

LAB EXPERIENCES

Laboratory of High Pressures – High Temperatures of the INGV: from rock physics to environmental studies

The High Pressure - High Temperature Laboratory (HPHT) of INGV is located in the Rome headquarters of the Institution and carries out some leading research in the volcanological, seismic and environmental fields, some of which are financed as part of European projects. Many of INGV's analytical and experimental activities are concentrated here in support of research and monitoring, but also of the development of technologies and new investigative methodologies.

THE EARTH TELLS

"1919 - 2019 one hundred years since the Mugello earthquake". Conference at the racetrack

It was June 29, 1919. A violent earthquake struck Mugello. Many victims, many buildings destroyed. Enormous desperation among the population that was just then slowly recovering from the First World War. A little less than a hundred years since then, the opening conference of the earthquake centenary was held on 28 February at the Mugello circuit
