12 April 2022 From the port of Cape Town, South Africa, the 390 Expedition, the first of two shipments of theInternational Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) bound for the South Atlantic Ocean to study the western flank of the Southern Mid Atlantic Ridge, in which INGV participates with its palaeomagnetism experts.
14-15 April 2022SAVEMEDCOASTS-2 landed in Greece, in the coastal plain of Chalastra, for the fourth appointment of the 'KnowRiskFlood' scientific dissemination campaign aimed at students and teachers of the High School of Echedoros (Kalochori) and stakeholder locals. The events, organized by INGV, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and fromISOTECH of Cyprus, had the objective of increasing the awareness of coastal communities on the phenomenon and on the consequences of sea level rise.
22 April 2022 With a series of face-to-face and online appointments, INGV has joined the Earth Day 2022, the event promoted by the United Nations to celebrate our planet and promote its protection.
