The AGITHAR meeting (Accelerating Global science In Tsunami HAzard and Risk analysis) is scheduled from 14 to 17 January in Rome, the European project created to create a global network that standardizes techniques and methodologies for assessing tsunami hazards in order to to mitigate risk by adopting up-to-date shared and interdisciplinary practices.
The meeting, which is held on 14 and 15 January at the Italian Geographic Society - SGI (Via della Navicella, 12) and will continue on 16 and 17 January at the headquarters of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology - INGV (Via di Vigna Murata, 605), provides for an intense collaboration between the 25 nations involved in order to draw up the first univocal document reporting the current state of the art, future objectives and identifying any gaps in the research.

The AGITHAR meeting (Accelerating global science in Tsunami HAzard and Risk analysis) is held from 14 to 17 January in Rome. AGITHAR is a European project born to create a global network that standardizes, improves and promotes research on tsunami hazard and risk through shared and interdisciplinary methodologies. The meeting takes place at the Italian Geographical Society - SGI (Via della Navicella, 12) and will continue on January 16 and 17 at the headquarters of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology - INGV (Via di Vigna Murata, 605).
